Devotions from Judy’s heart

Today I read for my devotions from Isaiah 26:3, “You keep Him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”  I thought of how important it is to keep our focus and mind on the Lord.  Even though we may be busy with many things, there can still have an awareness of His presence with us. He is always there for us and loves as we share with Him each happening of the day. But when our minds get so filled with other things, we can get very distracted and miss out. When I go to Line Dancing I must remember to focus on the particular dance we are doing.  If my mind gets filled with other things, as it often does when I begin planning meals etc in my mind, I can get off and am not in line with others. It is a wake up call to get my focus back where it should be.  Likewise our minds can get so pre-occupied with worldly things that we can miss Him in the present.  Our peace gets disrupted and we get stressed. But if we are trusting Him and our mind is stayed on Him, we have perfect peace. And as it says in the next verse, we can trust the Lord God for He is an “everlasting rock.”
May you have a peace filled evening  and day tomorrow. Blessings and love, Judy
