Dear Ones,
Hope you had a great weekend and were able to keep cool. We have the best man from our wedding coming today for dinner.
Devotions from Judy’s heart
Would we say we have a peace-filled life, or does it lean towards a cluttered and stress-filled life that lacks peace? We have a choice if we want to spend time complaining about our busy schedules, or if we will ask the Lord to help bring change so we can enjoy a simpler, restful life of peace. But we have to face it with determination and resoluteness or we will only continue in the same frustration. But how do we simplify our lives so we can experience an unhurried focused life of peace?

We can begin by living fully in the day and not worrying about tomorrow. When we are working or busy in an activity, our thoughts are to be directed into what we are doing. Too often when I am at a class planning menus in my mind, even thinking of a devotional, and my focus is not on the present but thinking of things in the future. It’s important to be in the present, so our energy is directed towards what we are doing and experiencing enjoyment in it.

In a nutshell, let us focus on living one day at a time and not worry about tomorrow. Jesus said in Matt. 6:34, “Give you entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” I’m sure we are all guilty of going through the motions of being present to others, and yet our minds were far from the conversation. Instead let us be present in the moment in which God places us, and take enjoyment in it.

Challenge for today: Be present in whatever situation the Lord has you, and make the most of it with enjoyment.
Blessings on your day and prayers and love, Mom
