Dear Ones,
Hope you have a wonderful day! Al will be off to men’s group and I will have coffee and donuts waiting for him when he gets home. Later we have Bible Study and a trip to Costco.Devotions from Judy’s heart
I went to Word to type in a devotional that was #1000, and there were also thousands before that one as well. I have been writing online for over twenty years, and devotions offline much longer than that when I had to write them out by hand. But I am writing today to tell you my last official one will be tomorrow, as it is time. Al quit writing on the Wildman website on his birthday, August 10th, and my birthday is tomorrow and I believe that devotion will be my last official one.
I have been praying about if I am to continue, after reading two devotionals online from different pastors. One wrote about the changing of the guard. Even though one may be faithful through the years, it is time to end, bring it to a close and pass it on to the next generation. This era is over and the chapter is completed, and He is calling the next generation to rise and ready the people. One gave the example of Moses, who faithfully took the children of Isreal through the wilderness but was not to take them into the Promised Land. That would be Joshua’s task.
As you know we recently had trouble with our website, and that is what prompted me to start praying if my time is over. I literally couldn’t send anything out. I started wondering if this chapter of my life is completed and is to close. Our sons and a friend we have known since he was in college are the next generation, and interested in the website. I have a feeling they will be posting from time to time. My life will change in many ways, as the devotionals have been on my back burner even when I go about my day. I am wondering if I am to be more into intercession now, particularly praying for the next generation that God desires to use in a powerful way.
Please feel free to e-mail me (whispers 65@yahoo.com) in the days to come, as I have prayed for so many of you and heard things you are going through. May the Lord bless you and cause you to grow, change from the inside out and go forth in boldness and love to share Jesus.
.Final Challenge: Ask the Lord if you are at the place He would have you in right now, and go in His grace and power to make a difference for His kingdom.
Blessings on your day and prayers and love, Judy
