Dear Ones,
Hope you had a good weekend with time to rest. Our granddaughter won her game in Hawaii, and they played in rain and wind…no hurricane though. PTL. Today I plan to do food prep and go to my exercise class etc.
Devotions from Judy’s heart
Today we see on the news wars everywhere, earthquakes, famines, tornadoes, etc. and we wonder if soon the Lord will come again. We don’t know the exact date, only the Father does, but we need to prepare and be ready. Too often we go about our lives as if we had all the time in the world, but we know one day we will leave this world. If we know the Lord, then the best is yet to come, but for others who don’t know Him it is a very dark day.

I am reading a book, by Billy Graham’s daughter and granddaughter, Preparing to Meet Jesus, and it can open us to know more how to prepare. Everyday should be a preparation day for our final home. It could happen at any moment: when we hear a shout from the archangel, and a blast from the trumpet of God and the Lord will appear from Heaven. (I Thes 4:16-17) Our loved ones who died first will be swept up into the clouds, where we will also meet them and be all joined with the Lord in the air. Wow! That is hard to even imagine, and our days on earth should prepare us for that time. Once that day comes it is too late for us to witness to those who haven’t received the Lord, so we are to share Him every opportunity He sends our way.

Anne Graham Lotz and Rachel-Ruth Lotz Wright share ways we can prepare, the first and most important being that we personally know and trust in the Lord. Secondly, that we daily surrender to the control of the Holy Spirit so that we continue to grow more like the Lord. Thirdly, that we live in such a way that the Christian life is desirable to others. Fourthly, they recommend that we get our priorities in order and are ready, rather than procrastinating and having regrets. Let us not miss the opportunities He sends!

Challenge for today: As you prepare for the Big Day, ask the Holy Spirit to use your life, words, and actions to draw others to the Lord.
Blessings on your week and prayers and love, Judy
