Dear Ones,
Hope you have a wonderful day! Today is party day here at Northern Lakes and I will be setting up early. Al and I will be celebrating our birthdays as well, and our door is already plastered with cards.
Devotions from Judy’s heart
As you all know, I have retired officially from writing devotions each day and you may wonder what is Judy going to do now? Well, the truth is, I’m not sure. I have my ears open, listening and waiting, and sometimes the Lord surprises me with a word that makes me sit up and take notice. One word came not long ago online by Crystal Wade who wrote about Divine Reset. Many of you may feel also right now that the Lord has you in a time of reset. Our part is to agree and embrace it, listen and pray.
God may take us in a new direction, just like Joshua told the people in Joshua 3:3-4. They were at the Jordon River and when they saw the Ark of the Covenant being carried by the priests, then they were to follow at a distance. He told them to “stay close and pay attention…you have not passed this way before.” He also told them “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”
Sometimes the Lord brings us to a place to pause and realign, as He has something new for us. We have to quit going on autopilot, listen for direction and pay attention. He may be doing something new and we don’t want to miss it. I am asking the Lord to help me hear what He has next for me. Would He want me to spend more time in intercession, or reach out in new ways in our apartment complex?
I have been praying Crystal Wade’s prayer:
“Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your great intentionality in reversing realities and resetting my life and family to Your divine order. I want to steward the new with You well. I choose to agree with what You are doing in my life and family. I choose a growth mindset over my default programming. Holy Spirit, remind me in the moment to pause, realign, and take the action You are leading me to, as David did, that I may steward and establish the new inner life You are directing. Restore and do much more in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.”
Challenge for today: Spend some time asking the Lord if you are in the place He would have for you right now. Be willing to move forward if he has new orders for you!
Blessings on your day and prayers and love, Judy
