Dear Ones, Happy weekend to you! So nice to have sunny weather as we prepare for a long weekend. I plan to do food prep and make cookies on a stick etc.

There is nothing too small in our lives that God cannot speak through it, writes Pastor Timothy Jones. Our life matters to God, and He shows up sometimes when we least expect. I love when I am working around the apartment and a word seems to come out of the blue…it is nothing I would ever say or do and I quickly ask the Lord if that is what He is saying to me. Recently, an idea seemed to pop out of nowhere of something the Lord wanted me to share with another. It had never occurred to me, but I obeyed and the following day I received a grateful response, as the Lord let me know I had heard Him.

The Lord shows up in many ways in our lives, and sometimes he places people to help us right before our eyes in an intense situation. They help us exactly when we have need, and we come to realize that the Lord has sent them. Even more amazing is that the Holy Spirit is willing to take up residence in our hearts. He is so mighty, and yet He chooses to live in us. Paul said in Romans 8:11, “If the Spirit of (God), who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies.” That same power that is in us is the same strength that raised Jesus!!! We need to think on that, not only the small things in our lives but also the big things. That power is with us when we are at our work or needing hope for situations in our lives.

The Spirit gives life, brings beauty from ashes, and infuses us with love. He is our Advocate and gives us hope. I get emails from some of you that are going through hard struggles at this time; may each of us really know how much we need the power of the Holy Spirit to flow through us. That power is far greater than we could ever achieve on our own, often bringing healing to the deepest part of us. Let us stay open and allow the Spirit to do His deep work in us.

Challenge for today: Welcome the Holy Spirit to have free reign in your life.
